The Louisiana chapter of the National Association of Social Work selected University professor Brij Mohan to receive its President’s Award.
Mohan, former dean of the School of Social Work, was chosen based on his lifetime achievement within the field. Mohan has authored 15 books, more than 200 articles and papers, edits a social welfare journal and was recently commissioned to edit the forthcoming Berkshire International Encyclopedia of Social Development.
Mohan is the second President’s Award recipient in NASW-LA history.
NASW-LA will give Mohan the award at its annual conference, held today from 12:45 to 2 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Marriott.
