The LSU gymnastics team qualified for the NCAA Super Six Finals on Thursday afternoon, posting a score of 196.575 and finishing third in the NCAA Preliminary Sessions.
The top-three teams in the Preliminary Sessions all came from the Southeastern Conference. Florida finished in first place with a score of 196.900, and Alabama finished second with a 196.650.
LSU sophomore Susan Jackson finished second in the all-around with a score of 39.500. Junior Ashleigh Clare-Kearney finished tied for 16th with an all-around score of 38.650 and tied for first with a 9.950 on bars.
The Super Six begins Friday in Athens, Ga.
