Psychotherapist and author Jeffery Rubin will deliver a lecture today about Buddhism and psychoanalysis.
Titled “Psychoanalysis and Buddhism in the 21st Century,” the lecture will “explore some of the hidden pitfalls and possibilities associated with attempts to integrate Buddhism with Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis,” according to a news release.
Rubin is a private-practice psychotherapist based in New York who is considered an authority on mediation and psychotherapy. His books include “Psychotherapy and Buddhism, A Psychoanalysis for our Time.”
Hosted by the Collegium for Science and Religion, the lecture is free and open to the public. It will take place at 5 p.m. in room 152 of Coates Hall.
