LSU did not make the list of public institutions with large endowments, according to recent National Association of College and University Business Officers.
Virginia Military Institute led the pack with $312,133 per student. The university has an enrollment of 1,265.
University of Michigan and University of Virginia took second and third places with $200,019 and $145,573 per student, respectively.
Two SEC schools ranked in the top 30 – University of Arkansas took No. 12, and University of Mississippi took No. 28.
Princeton, Yale and Harvard universities topped the list of private institutions with large endowments. Princeton has an endowment of $2,228,257 per student.
