The LSU men’s and women’s track and field teams both fell from the top spot in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s latest rankings.
The Lady Tigers are No. 2, and the Tigers are No. 3 in this week’s rankings. Defending national champion Arizona State is No. 1 in the women’s rankings, and Texas A&M sits atop the men’s rankings.
Neither the Lady Tigers nor the Tigers team competed this past weekend. They will next compete in the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships on May 15-18.
The Lady Tigers will try to sweep the conference titles this season after they won the conference’s indoor championships earlier this year. The men’s team will be looking for its first SEC Outdoor title in 18 years.
