The National Weather Service placed Baton Rouge under flood warning and hazardous weather outlook Thursday. The organization issued flood warnings for both the Mississippi and Comite rivers.
These warnings follow a flash flood warning Wednesday. Tonight, the NWS predicts a 20 percent chance of rain.
The University suffered from the effects of yesterday’s downpour when six campus buildings flooded. Many streets and roads, including Highland Road, became partially flooded.
The NWS warns commuters not to drive through flooded areas.
The NWS predicts cloudy conditions Friday, with sunny weather returning by Saturday.
