All games of this year’s NCAA Baton Rouge Regional will air on Cox Sports Television and the Jumbo Sports Network, it was announced today.
“We are excited to partner with Jumbo Sports and make these games available to all CST affiliates across the South,” CST head Rod Mickler said in a news release. “These NCAA Regional games will be among the last played at Alex Box Stadium, and we feel honored to be able to bring them to our viewers.”
This is the fifth straight year CST was award exclusive rights to air an NCAA Regional. The network also aired the 2004 and 2005 NCAA Regionals in Baton Rouge.
LSU, the nation’s No. 7 seed, will play Texas Southern in the first game of the regional Friday at 1 p.m. Southern Miss and New Orleans are the other two teams in the regional. They face each other Friday at 6 p.m.
