Dolphins blowing bubblesEverybody say “Awwwwww”. Dolphins blowing bubble rings and playing with them always has a way of warming the soul. The footage is accompanied by gorgeous classical music for a wonderful one minute vacation from life.
Super Lego MarioA stage of Super Mario Bros. reenacted with stop motion photography and Legos. Kudos to this guy, because I bet a lot of effort went into this one. I especially love the clever animation of Mario’s world, such as the clever design for the fire flowers, pipe strawberries, goombas and koopa troopas. Very fun.
Vampire Weekend – A-PunkHere’s an excellent music video of one of the best breakthrough bands around, Vampire Weekend, performing their song A-Punk. The guitarists sling their guitars around while the other two guys pound on the toms. Spinning keyboards, snow, scarves, bubbles and finger fish are soon to follow.
Rubik cube solverMore Lego Mindstorms nerdiness. This time, the machine solves a rubikÕs cube. It calculates an algorithm. My main issue is that it takes SO FREAKING LONG for the robot to flip the cube over. Thank you very much, but I prefer to solve my Rubik’s cubes the old fashioned way- with a screwdriver.

Numa NumaGary Brolsma’s infamous ‘Numa Numa’ video accomplished many things: 1. It singlehandedly put an obscure Moldovan dance act into the spotlight with the use of the song “Dragostea din tei.” 2. It gave a random dude overnight internet stardom. 3. It inspired countless remakes, parodies and variations, including one from Brolsma himself that was much less successful because he was in on the joke.
