SPRINGFIELD, La. (AP) — Livingston Parish Sheriff’s deputies say two more people have been arrested in connection with the theft of $60,000 in alligator hatchlings and eggs stolen in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav.
Damian J. Foreman of Baton Rouge was booked last week on a single count of simple burglary and two counts of theft of alligators in the thefts at Walls Alligator Farm in Springfield.
Chace Landon Cullen of Baton Rouge was booked on a single count of simple burglary, two counts of theft of alligators and four bench warrants for outstanding traffic tickets.
Both men remain in the parish jail.
A third man, Jarod M. Jackson, already charged in the theft was arrested again Sunday after deputies determined the alligator hatchlings and eggs were stolen from the farm over a two-day period.
