LSU (5-1) ranked No. 13 in the first BCS rankings of the 2008 season announced on Sunday.
Texas (7-0), Alabama (7-0) and Penn State (8-0) opened the rankings at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Oklahoma (5-1) and USC (5-1) complete the top 5.
Oklahoma State (7-0), Georgia (6-1) and Texas Tech (7-0) are No. 6, No. 7 and No. 8, respectively, and Ohio State (7-1) and Florida (5-1) round out the top 10.
Utah (8-0) and Boise State (6-0) are ahead of LSU at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively. TCU (7-1) and Missouri (5-2) complete the top 15.
Alabama, Georgia, Florida and LSU give the Southeastern Conference four teams in the top 25.
Six teams represent the Big 12 in the top 25. Kansas ranks No. 23, joining Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Missouri.
LSU will host No. 7 Georgia at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Tiger Stadium. The Tigers will also host No. 2 Alabama on Nov. 8
