Former LSU quarterback Steve Ensminger will coach Auburn’s offense the rest of the season, ESPN.com reported Thursday.Ensminger played at LSU from 1976 to 1979 and has coached at Auburn since 2003.He is Auburn’s tight ends coach and has also coached at Louisiana Tech, Georgia, Texas A&M and Clemson.Ensminger takes over for Tony Franklin, who was relieved of his duties Wednesday.Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville said Ensminger isn’t a candidate to permanently replace Franklin, according to ESPN.Auburn’s offense ranks 104th nationally in total yards.
