Former LSU football player Douglas Planchard was arrested Sunday for allegedly raping a woman earlier this month, The Advocate reported Tuesday.
Planchard, a reserve player from 2004 to 2006, is accused of raping the woman Oct. 12 at an undisclosed residence, the report said.
Planchard, 25, allegedly tried to rape the woman a second time the same day, but the woman got away when another person inside the residence heard her cries for help, according to the report.
Planchard, 12438 Lake Sherwood Ave., was booked into Parish Prison on a count of forcible rape.
