LSU is receiving votes in the first preseason men’s basketball polls, which was released earlier today.The Tigers, who open the season Nov. 15 against Jackson State, missed out on the top 25 but received 19 votes in the poll.North Carolina is ranked preseason No. 1. Connecticut, Louisville, UCLA and Duke round out the top five.Defending national champion Kansas, which lost three starters from last year’s team, is ranked No. 23.Two Southeastern Conference schools are ranked in the top 25 — Tennessee at No. 13 and Florida at No. 19.Kentucky and Vanderbilt were the other conference schools to receive votes.
