COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says the Gamecocks won’t wear a special color combination this weekend against LSU.
Spurrier said after practice Thursday that South Carolina will come out in its regular garnet jerseys with white pants when the defending national champions come to town Saturday.
The Gamecocks have used special jerseys for big games before. They wore black shirts and black pants for their last Southeastern Conference night home game, a 51-31 loss last November against Florida.
Spurrier says maybe South Carolina has made too much about some games before and he’s trying to treat the LSU game as just another football game.
