NEW YORK — LSU’s bye week cost them a spot in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches’ college football polls this week.The Tigers dropped a spot to No. 3 and No. 4 in the Coaches’ and AP polls, respectively, following the off week.Oklahoma remained No. 1 in both polls. The Sooners received 51 first-place votes and 1,608 points in the AP poll and 60 first-place votes and 1,524 points in the Coaches’ poll, gaining a few points and top votes in its second week atop the rankings this season.Alabama is No. 2 again in the AP poll with 13 first-place votes and 1,537 points, but the Crimson Tide dropped to No. 4 in the Coaches’ poll after a 17-14 win against Kentucky.Missouri moved up two spots to No. 2 in the Coaches’ poll and one spot to No. 3 in the AP rankings, capitalizing on a 52-17 victory at Nebraska to jump LSU.Texas remained No. 5 in both polls. The Longhorns and Sooners meet Saturday in the annual Red River Rivalry in Dallas.
