The federal Economic Development Administration says it’s providing $9.3 million to Louisiana to assist in the economy recovery of areas affected by Hurricane Gustav.
The package includes $450,000 for the International Economic Development Council to, among other things, help implement the new, public-private economic development partnership for the city of New Orleans and $2.5 million to the state’s economic development department for business aid and support.
The Economic Development Administration is a part of the Commerce Department.
