BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Louisiana’s congressional delegation has joined with Governor Bobby Jindal in asking the White House to pick up all the state’s costs involving debris removal, public aid and individual assistance for Hurricane Gustav. Normally, the federal government picks up 75 percent of disaster response, and a state pays 25 percent. But Louisiana leaders say every parish in Louisiana was declared in a state of emergency and either was directly impacted by Gustav or by helping evacuees.
