PARIS (AP) — Dai Fujiwara is not the type to do things by halves. To research the color scheme for his spring-summer 2009 collection for Issey Miyake, shown in Paris on Tuesday, the Japanese designer and his team headed for the Amazon Rainforest equipped with more than 3,000 color swatches, which they compared to the hues of plants and tree bark. The infinite variety of colors was whittled down to eight shades ranging from a sandy brown to a vivid green.—
