Gavin DeGraw and Sean Kingston will headline the musical acts at Gold Fest, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in the PMAC to kick off the Tigers’ first SEC game of the season in Death Valley against Mississippi State. Coach Les Miles, Mike the Tiger, University cheerleaders and Tiger Girls will be at the celebration, which was originally scheduled to be part of homecoming week until Hurricane Gustav’s Labor Day landfall forced homecoming festivities to be rescheduled to Nov. 9 – 15.Fans are also encouraged to wear gold to the Mississippi State game “to amp up the excitement at LSU attempts to defend its BCS National Championship,” according to a University news release.Tickets to Gold Fest are $6 for students and $11 for the public. Tickets are available at the athletics ticket office and through the homecoming Web site.
