LSU women’s basketball coach Van Chancellor announced earlier today that Kenya Larkin-Landers will join his coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Larkin-Landers spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Oklahoma. She helped guide the Cowgirls to NCAA tournament appearances in 2007 and 2008.
Larkin-Landers will replace Yolanda Wells-Broughton, who was named Texas Southern head coach in early July.
Chancellor said in a news release that Larkin-Landers will be a “tremendous asset” to the coaching staff.
“She was an outstanding point guard at Texas. She knows the point guard position extremely well, and therefore, she will be able to help us with our guard play,” he said.
