CATS not providing game-day shuttle this SaturdayIn light of a new federal regulation passed by the Federal Transit Administration, the Capital Area Transit System will not be able to provide shuttle service to Tiger Stadium this Saturday.In an effort to help private charter companies’ competitive edge, the FTA passed down regulation mandating CATS cannot charge fees higher than the standard fare and cannot be subsidized by the University or private donations.The regulation stated CATS had the option to send notification e-mails to private bus companies, giving them the opportunity to show interest in providing shuttle service on gamedays.
