Both the LSU men’s and women’s track and field teams will enter next week’s NCAA Outdoor Championships ranked No. 1 in the nation.
The latest power rankings were released Wednesday. Defending national champion on the men’s side, Florida State, is ranked second in the country. Arizona State, the defending national champions on the women’s side, is ranked third.
Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers finished second in the NCAA Outdoor Championships this past season.
This season’s four-day meet will be held June 11-14 in Des Moines, Iowa.
