Mayor-President Kip Holden announced today that Baton Rouge will host regional homeland security training Tuesday.
Officials from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama will be in town for three-day, anti-terrorist training.
“Baton Rouge is a leader in emergency response training for possible terrorist attacks,” Holden said in a news release. “This training course not only confirms the level of our first responders’ expertise in public safety, but also underscores the importance of regional leadership in keeping our community safe.”
During the training course, law enforcement and federal, local and state elected officials to “share strategies for defending against terrorism,” according to the news release.
