The LSU basketball team fell behind by as much as 7 points to Washington State in the second half of Saturday afternoon’s game.
But it wasn’t enough to stop the Tigers from roaring back to a 64-52 victory in front of a loud home crowd and ESPN2 television cameras.
The Baton Rouge native backcourt mates Bo Spencer, Marcus Thornton and Garrett Temple led LSU with 19, 18 and 13 points, respectively, as all three guards came up big in the second-half comeback.
But after the game LSU coach Trent Johnson and the players stressed the importance of defense and the Tiger bench to the win against the Cougars.
