Sophomore forward Garrett Green will redshirt this season, LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson said Thursday.
Green has missed the majority of practice this season because of lower back problems.
A return date for Green is uncertain, according to an athletic department news release.
“Garrett just hasn’t gotten better,” said Johnson in a news release. “He will continue to rehabilitate and we will get him ready for next season when he will be a big help for us inside.”
Green played in 25 games last season, averaging 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 9.6 minutes per game.
