Tiger Stadium will have a fresh feel to it when its latest renovation is complete in a little more than a month.Tiger Stadium is one of the last LSU athletic facilities to undergo scoreboard replacements as part of a $5 million upgrade to scoreboards and video boards in facilities around campus, associate athletic director Eddie Nunez said.Nunez said that figure does not include the scoreboards in the new Alex Box Stadium or Tiger Park. The scoreboard in the north end zone will be replaced with a new 80-foot-wide high definition video board. Nunez said the goal is to have the project complete in five to six weeks, hopefully in time for the April 18 spring football game.”It is not much actual construction, just an actual replacement [of the scoreboard],” Nunez said. “It would be great to have in time for the spring game, but if not, no worries. We will have plenty of time after that to learn the new video boards and get a good understanding of how to use them.”The athletic department has already spearheaded the enhancement of scoreboards and video boards in the PMAC, W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium, Bernie Moore Track Stadium, LSU Soccer Complex and LSU Natatorium this year, Nunez said.
