Three LSU coaches and the LSU athletic director will pay LSU students’ admission to NCAA tournament games this weekend at the PMAC, the LSU athletic Department announced Wednesday.LSU football coach Les Miles, men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson, baseball coach Paul Mainieri and athletic director Joe Alleva will each donate $1,000 to help give LSU students free admission to the NCAA women’s basketball tournament this weekend in Baton Rouge.LSU students cannot get free admission to NCAA tournament events because of NCAA rules. The three coaches and Alleva have decided to pay the student’s admission charges.”We have a great student body; the best in all of college athletics in the way they support our teams here on campus,” Miles said in a news release. “This is our way of saying thanks to the LSU students, and at the same time lending some support to Van [Chancellor] and the women’s basketball team.LSU plays Wisconsin-Green Bay in the first round of the tournament Sunday at 6 p.m. in the PMAC.
