LSU junior outfielder Rachel Mitchell was named Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I National Player of the Week, the LSU Athletic Department announced Tuesday.Mitchell was also named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday.The LaPorte, Texas, native had 11 of LSU’s 22 RBI during the week, hitting .353 with a .706 slugging percentage.The LSU softball team also moved up from No. 21 to 17 in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll.—-Contact The Daily Reveille’s sports staff at [email protected]
