The homework help site Cramster.com has become one of the most popular homework help Web sites on campus with 2,527 University students registering with the site this academic school year.
The site features various science and engineering answer manuals and the ability for any student to post a question and have it answered in a short amount of time by another Cramster user.
Features like these have made the Web site a controversial topic among administrators such as Saundra McGuire, director of the Center for Academic Success.
McGuire said students often use the site as a crutch to get the homework done quickly and not as a tool to help them study. This leads to an improvement in homework scores, but in reality, the students are not learning the material and will not perform well on the exam.—-Contact Xerxes Wilson at [email protected]
