The LSU baseball team has moved to No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 and Collegiate Baseball Top 30 polls, the LSU Athletic Department announced Monday.
LSU was No. 2 in last week’s Baseball America poll. The Tigers were also No. 1 in the poll back on March 2.
The Tigers were No. 4 in the last Collegiate Baseball poll. This is the fourth time LSU has been ranked No. 1 this season by Collegiate Baseball
Junior designated hitter was also named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week by the league office Monday.
Dean went 7-for-17 at the plate last week for LSU with 11 RBI. Six of his hits and 10 of his RBI came in LSU’s series win against Alabama this weekend.
Dean also hit two home runs this past week.
LSU returns to the diamond Tuesday to play UNO at Alex Box Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
