LSU senior right-hander Louis Coleman was named Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday thanks to his shutout performance against Florida in Alex Box Stadium on Saturday during LSU’s 4-0 victory.The Schlater, Miss., native was also named Southeastern Conference Pitcher of the Week after giving up four hits and striking out seven while walking only one against the Gators.Coleman (10-2) enters the Tigers’ final SEC series as the leader in the SEC in wins, ERA (2.45) and opponent batitng average (.205). He is also No. 4 in the SEC with 99 strikeouts and has thrown 17 consecutive shutout innings.The Tigers head to Starksville, Miss., to face Mississippi State in a three-game series that begins Thursday and ends Saturday.
