The No. 30 Tigers continued their solid play today, posting a team score of 15-over par after two rounds at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Verde, Fla., at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational to take the tournament lead. LSU shot the low round of the day with a 7-over par 295. The second-lowest round was Georgia Southern’s 14-over par. The Tigers took the lead by posting a team score of 2-under par on the final three holes, including an eagle by junior Brent Blaum on the final hole. LSU goes into the final round of the tournament with a 2 stroke lead over No. 10 Arizona State. Individually, sophomore Andrew Loupe leads all LSU golfers with a two-day score of 1-under par 143, placing him third in the tournament. Three Tigers are in the top 14 at the end of two rounds. The co-leaders are at 3-under par, and the tournament includes six top-25 teams. The Tigers started off the three-day event in second place at the end of the first day, shooting an 8-over par 296.
