The LSU Athletic Department has encouraged fans who will attend the first game in new Alex Box Stadium to park in lots west of Nicholson Drive.
The new stadium is located on Gourrier Drive, a two-lane street. Parking in lots east of Nicholson Drive would force fans to cross the four-lane state highway.
The athletic department has also given out instructions for drivers coming from certain directions.
Fans coming from the north have been instructed to use either River Road or Nicholson to approach the new stadium.
College Drive, Acadian/Stanford, Highland Road, Burbank Drive and Nicholson are the suggested routes for drivers coming from the east or south.
Fans coming from the south on Nicholson or Burbank are encouraged to use River Road, Nicholson or Burbank to access lots west of the stadium on Gourrier.
After the game, all cars in paid lots around new Alex Box Stadium will be directed to Nicholson Drive going east. Paid lots are Alex Box lot, Champions lot, Bullpen lot and Home Run Village.
All cars in free lots will be directed west toward River Road.
Pre-game ceremonies at the park will begin at 6:15 p.m.
