LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson said Monday afternoon that sophomore guard Bo Spencer will not travel with the team when the Tigers face Arkansas on Wednesday.Spencer suffered a sprained ankle Wednesday against Mississippi State and missed LSU’s win Saturday against Ole Miss.”Obviously he’s a little upset,” Johnson said. “He needs to stay behind, get some treatment, get some rest.”Arkansas coach John Pelphrey also announced on Monday that freshman guard Courtney Fortson could return to the Razorbacks’ lineup Wednesday.Fortson was suspened for Arkansas’ 79-63 loss Saturday to Kentucky.”If he does the correct things, he will play on Wednesday,” Pelphrey told The Associated Press. “I love Courtney Fortson. There’s not another guard in the country I want playing our point guard spot.”Fortson has is averaging 14.6 points and 6.5 assists this season.”I anticipate having him back in the starting lineup,” Pelphrey said.
