Nine LSU football players have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, the Athletic Department announced Friday.
The list includes five lineman, two from offense and three on defense. Those linemen are Herman Johnson, Brett Helms, Tyson Jackson, Marlon Favorite and Ricky Jean-Francois.
Linebacker Darry Beckwith, fullback Quinn Johnson, safety Curtis Taylor and wide receiver Demetrius Byrd round out the Tiger invites.
The NFL combine takes place in Indianapolis every year before the NFL draft. Prospects go through six days of drills, tests and interviews while evaluated by NFL scouts and personnel.
LSU sent seven players to the 2008 NFL Combine.
