Scout.com No. 1 recruit Bryce Brown plans to visit LSU this weekend for what may be his final visit.The Scout five-star running back is “leaning heavily” in making the trip to Baton Rouge Brown’s final visit, according to The Miami Herald.The Miami Herald also reports that Brown has eliminated Miami “barring a dramatic change of mind.”But Bryce Brown’s father, Arthur Brown Sr., told Rivals.com that those reports are false, and Miami is still in the mix for the prized running back.”Miami is definitely still strongly under consideration,” Arthur Brown Sr. told Rivals.A source told The Miami Herald “We’re out of it.The top contenders for Brown are Oregon and Kansas State, although visits to Tennessee and LSU will also play into Brown’s decision, the story said.Brown verbally committed to Miami in Feb. 2008 but has yet to sign a national letter of intent.Miami has not revoked its offer to Brown, but the relationship between Miami and Brown has disintegrated since National Signing Day.Although LSU may be a long-shot to land Brown, the Tigers will get a chance to impress Brown this weekend on his unofficial visit.If the running back picks LSU on March 16, Brown would join Scout five-star running back Michael Ford and rising seniors Charles Scott and Keiland Williams.
