NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The head of the cancer center at LSU Health Sciences Center — New Orleans is named a scientific adviser to the National Cancer Institute.LSU says Dr. August Ochoa will serve a four-year term on the NCI’s Board of Scientific Counselors for clinical sciences and epidemiology.The board provides scientific advice and reviews progress of research for the NCI Center for Cancer Research and the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics.
