The first 250 students who enter the gates for each of LSU’s opening games in the preseason NIT Tip-Off at the PMAC on Nov. 16 and 17 will get in for free, the LSU Athletic Department announced Tuesday in a news release.
Students normally get into basketball games for free with their student ID, but the Athletic Department must charge students a minimum of $4 per ticket because of NIT rules.
The first 250 students to enter the gates for each game will be seated in the lower bowl of the PMAC.
Gates open at 3:30 p.m. for the opening game each day — in which LSU does not play — but the free tickets for the first 250 students for LSU’s games will be given out starting at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 and at either 3:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, depending on which game LSU plays.
LSU opens the season Friday when it hosts Louisiana-Monroe at the PMAC at 7 p.m.
