College Democrats at LSU held their first rally on free speech alley this week to inform students about the national health care week.

The usual club display was up but there was also letters for students to sign urging congressmen to vote for health care reform.

Senator Landrieu’s number was also on a poster for students to call.

“We signed up probably 50 people who is devoted to calling senator Landrieu for organizing for America and we probably got around 30 people to sign,” said LSU College Democrat president Melanie Oubre.

This week’s meeting has a focus on “national call to action” week across the country.
