THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — A Thibodaux eatery was transformed into a 1940s Alabama diner for a time this week.
The Venetian Bar and Doughnut Shop on Tuesday became the setting for scenes in the movie “Chesterfield,” which depicts life for three American military men who marry French brides following D-Day.
The movie filmed for four weeks in France. Over the next two weeks, the film’s Alabama scenes will be shot in south Louisiana.
The film is expected to be shown on French television in the spring and might be screened at a film festival in Lafayette.
