The BCS Coaches’ National Championship trophy will be on display Saturday at Tiger Stadium, the Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling company and Dr. Pepper announced Friday in a news release.
The trophy will be set up outside the stadium near the south end zone from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fans will be able to take a picture with the trophy.
“Dr Pepper has been a long time sponsor of SEC football,” Darian Chustz, President of Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company, said in the release. “We are thrilled to be a part of bringing the trophy to Tiger Stadium for fans to see.”
The trophy last made a stop in Baton Rouge on Sept. 4, 2004, when LSU beat Oregon State, 22-21, in overtime.
