LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri will sing the traditional “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley Field in Chicago during the Cubs’ game on July 26, LSU chancellor Michael Martin announced Thursday.Mainieri, formerly the coach at Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., has been long-time friends with Cubs general manager Jim Hendry.LSU infielder DJ LeMahieu was drafted by the Cubs in the second round of June’s draft.—-Contact The Daily Reveille sports staff at [email protected]
