The LSU women’s basketball team was ranked No. 9 in the Sporting News’s Preseason Top 25 poll released on Wednesday.
The magazine also named senior guard Allison Hightower as a first-team All American.
The Lady Tigers advanced to the Round of 32 last season with a youthful roster that meshed as the season progressed.
LSU is one of three Southeastern Conference teams in the poll. The Lady Tigers are joined by Tennessee and Mississippi State, who are ranked No. 12 and No. 21.
