Being an LSU tiger can bring you success with your career and in saving money.

Many students are unaware of the student discounts available that can help stretch your dollar.

When purchasing an Apple computer, students can get at least $50 off.

Other discounts include 15 percent off non-sale items at J. Crew, 400 free text messages with AT&T, and 10 percent off Verizon monthly plans.

LSU offers several discounts too.

Tickets at LSU’s theatre are half off and Union leisure classes are discounted.

For transportation, General Motors offers up to $6,000 off vehicles and United Airlines promises 10,000 miles upon graduation.

Students know about these discounts take advantage of them.

“I used my student discount to purchase software which is really nice because some packages of software are almost as bad as buying books so free software was really, really nice,” said Hannah Grantham, a mass communication freshman.
