The LSU men’s golf team has earned a No. 17 preseason ranking, according to the Golf World/Nike Golf Preseason Coaches Poll released Thursday afternoon. Oklahoma State debuted at No. 1, while Southeastern Conferences foes Georgia, Alabama and Arkansas came in at No. 3, No. 4, and No. 7 respectively.  Defending NCAA champion Texas A&M was ranked at No. 7. The Tigers finished sixth in the NCAA South Central Region last spring, just missing a berth in the 30-team field at the NCAA Championships. LSU starts its season Sept. 27 in the PING/Golfweek Invitational in Bremerton, Wash.   —-Contact Sean Isabella at [email protected]
