The LSU men’s basketball team will hold open tryouts this evening for students who want to walk on the team.
The tryouts begin at 7:30 p.m. and will take place on the main floor of the PMAC.
LSU men’s basketball coach Trent Johnson said the tryouts will involve a combination of players running drills and set plays.
“We’re going to check on fundamentals and drills and see if they can pass, if they can catch, shoot, those kinds of things,” Johnson said.
The tryouts will be run by assistant coaches Keith Richard and Chris Bobel. Johnson held similar tryouts last year, and he said the tryouts are something he will do every year.
