BATON ROUGE (AP) — U.S. Sen. David Vitter will travel to the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba next week with a group of Republican members of Congress who object to the detention center’s closure. Vitter’s office announced the trip Thursday. President Barack Obama has ordered the prison camp closed within a year after allegations of torture and complaints around the world that the facility violates domestic and international detainee rights.
