LSU’s annual spring football game will be played on Saturday, April 18 in Tiger Stadium in a day that will be filled with activities on the campus.The time for the spring game has yet to be set but it will be one of five events on the LSU campus that day.Other sporting events scheduled for April 18 on the LSU campus include a baseball game against Tennessee at the new Alex Box Stadium at 3 p.m.; softball hosting Florida in a doubleheader at the new Tiger Park starting at 1 p.m.; men’s tennis hosting Arkansas at Robinson Tennis Stadium at 1 p.m. and the track and field team playing host all day to the LSU Alumni Gold Relays at Bernie Moore Stadium.The Tigers are scheduled to open spring practice on Thursday, March 12 as LSU returns 13 starters from last year’s squad that posted an 8-5 overall mark and knocked off 14th-ranked Georgia Tech, 38-3, in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.Other events scheduled during football spring practice include the annual LSU High School Coaches Clinic on March 26-27 as well as the annual LSU Football Alumni Golf Tournament on April 17 at the University Club.For more information on LSU spring football go to www.LSUsports.net.2008 LSU Football Spring Practice DatesWeek 1 – March 12, 13, 14Week 2 – March 17, 19, 21Week 3 – March 24, 26, 28Week 4 – March 31, April 1, 2Week 5 – April 14, 16, 18* Note: dates and times for spring practice are subject to change.
