Construction for a Downtown underpass will begin tomorrow, following a 2:30 pm ground breaking ceremony. Davis Rhorer, Downtown Development executive director, said the four-lane underpass will pass under the Canadian National Railroad track, linking Hollywood Casino with a 36 acre plot of land along the Mississippi River. “This is a very unusual plot for development,” Rhorer said. “It will have river-front access and will be open to mixed use development, including residential units and a park.” —-Contact Steven Powell at [email protected]
