LSU students had the opportunity to express their gratitude for people who donate money to the university Wednesday.
The Tiger Athletic Foundation, LSU Alumni Association and the LSU Foundation collaborated to host Thank a Donor Day, with stations set up across campus.
Students could sign gratitude posters, write personal thank you letters, and enjoy some free food between classes.
Donor relations specialist Allie Rennhoff says many students took advantage of the program and she hopes it provides some affirmation for proud donors.
“We’ve absolutely loved reading these letters, they have been so heartfelt and really from the heart, showing how much students realize that their experience is truly impacted by philanthropy which helps build an attitude of gratitude, which is what we’re trying to celebrate today. Just a day of saying thanks and thanking all of our donors for everything they do for our students,” said Renhoff.
Of course, students are always encouraged to thank their own scholarship donors personally by contacting the alumni or donor relations office at their senior college.
